As September comes to a close, there is much to celebrate at Hope United Church of Christ as we gather together on Sunday, September 29, at 10:00 a.m.

It has been a busy week as our expansion and renovation project continues to unfold: painting has taken place in the new handicap accessible bathrooms, the expanded kitchen, hallway and fellowship hall; the new air conditioning unit was placed on the roof; and we will begin the next phase of renovation in the office and conference room space.

Tomorrow’s biblical story focus is on a parable (a short story with a big truth) that features The Rich Man and Lazarus. It invites us to consider the borders and gates we have in our own lives and who is our “Lazarus” at them. Do we see them? How are we attending to their needs?

Our children and youth will be exploring the story of Abraham and Sarah during their class time, which happens during worship.

At Hope UCC, we strive to practice extraordinary hospitality where all of God’s people are welcome.
