On Sunday, January 5, at Hope United Church of Christ, we will be blending the joy of Christmas and celebrating the anticipation of Epiphany (the time when the Wise Ones or Magi arrive). We will be reminded that the Word became flesh to dwell with us, among us, and in us while at the same time recognizing that we are always on the search for how God is making God’s appearance in the world.
We will celebrate the sacrament of communion, where simple items of bread and grape (wine and juice) are reminders that in our fellowship that the Spirit of God is present. Everyone, no matter who you are or where you are in you life or faith journey, are welcome to participate in this ritual and practice.
The morning is filled with activities:
Adult choir rehearsal – 9:00 a.m.
Worship – 10:00 a.m.
Fellowship following worship
Children and Youth choir rehearsal – following worship
Located at 150 9th Avenue, Hiawatha, we won’t have a star to guide you but we hope that you will find your way and join us nonetheless.
