Pentecost Sunday ~ June 9
In the Christian tradition, the celebration of Pentecost Sunday happens 50 days after Easter. It is a day set aside to remember and recall the coming of God’s Spirit to the early followers of Jesus. For some, it represents the birth of the church, a coming together of community for mission, fellowship and ministry. On Sunday, June 9, we will recall the coming of the Spirit. Wear your red, the liturgical color of the day, to be in the spirit of celebration.
