2018 Hope Missions Highlights

Thank you for your support of our church’s mission efforts in 2018. Here are some of the highlights of our work to make a difference in our community and beyond as we are faithful followers of Jesus:

• Started collecting Hy-vee receipts and Boxtops for Hiawatha Elementary
• Organized Earth Day litter pick-up with Hope’sSunday School kids
• Distributed wildflower seeds to honor Earth Day
• Donated $100 to HACAP’s Operation Backpack
• Began sponsoring a boy, Santhosh, from India, for Global Missions Child Sponsorship
• Represented Hope at CR Pride Booth
• $500 raised via Christmas in July to buy and wrap gifts to brighten the holidays for two local families
• Purchased $367 of most-needed school supplies for Hiawatha Elementary and Harrison Elementary
• October Funding Future Leadership collection and donation
• Purchased batting for quilts, which were donated to Quilts for Linus, Camp Courageous, etc.
• Ongoing collections for Operation Backpack single-serve food and Olivet Neighborhood Mission personal care items
• Mailed shoe patterns made from jeans and other supplies for the African Shoe Project
