2018 Hope Missions Highlights
Thank you for your support of our church’s mission efforts in 2018. Here are some of the highlights of our work to make a difference in our community and beyond as we are faithful followers of Jesus:
- Started collecting Hy-vee receipts and Boxtops for Hiawatha Elementary
- Organized Earth Day litter pick-up with Hope’sSunday School kids
- Distributed wildflower seeds to honor Earth Day
- Donated $100 to HACAP’s Operation Backpack
- Began sponsoring a boy, Santhosh, from India, for Global Missions Child Sponsorship
- Represented Hope at CR Pride Booth
- $500 raised via Christmas in July to buy and wrap gifts to brighten the holidays for two local families
- Purchased $367 of most-needed school supplies for Hiawatha Elementary and Harrison Elementary
- October Funding Future Leadership collection and donation
- Purchased batting for quilts, which were donated to Quilts for Linus, Camp Courageous, etc.
- Ongoing collections for Operation Backpack single-serve food and Olivet Neighborhood Mission personal care items
- Mailed shoe patterns made from jeans and other supplies for the African Shoe Project
25 gifts given by Hope members and friends to Santa For Seniors
