The weather was delightful; the crowds were diverse; and the atmosphere was lively as the annual Cedar Rapids Pride event was held on Saturday, July 7, at NewBo Market.

Hope United Church of Christ, an Open and Affirming church, had a booth there giving away hundreds of bottle of water along with other items of interest to event participants.
