Hiawatha Community Blood Drive Is a Huge Success

Hope UCC hosted a Hiawatha Community Blood Drive on Thursday, May 20. Megan Dee, Impact Life Donor Relations Consultant said of the event that it was “an EXCELLENT Day!”

20 total individuals registered:

• 18 whole blood, with just 1 deferral = 17 units
• 1 double red cell procedure performed and successful = 2 units
• 1 plasma procedure performed = 1 unit

A total of 20 units collected and that equals up to 80 local patients helped!

Dee wrote, “This drive is growing just like we hoped! Anchored by your great group of regulars, we are steadily bringing in more Hiawatha area folks too – we collected 4 more than last time.”
