As a part of the Mission Committee’s ongoing commitment to ministry and mission abroad, we have a wonderful opportunity coming up next week, in conjunction with the Iowa Conference of the UCC and Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The Committee will be hosting Tim and Diane Fonderlin who have recently returned to Iowa following a four-year term serving with the National Spiritual Council of Churches in Haiti. While in Haiti, they both served as teachers as well as missionaries. Their work is made possible by our yearly offering to Our Church’s Wider Mission.
As part of our hosting the Fonderlins, we would like to invite you to an evening of conversation and light refreshments on Tuesday evening, October 25, at 6:00 p.m. here at Hope UCC. We hope you will take some time in your evening to hear some of the stories of their work, the culture, and some of the current issues facing the Haitian people.
