Recently our Sunday School students explored the story where Jesus is walking on water toward a boat that has some of his followers are in it as they are in the midst of a storm.  They are frighted and scared as the waves toss them around.

Using raisins as the “disciples,” our students that discovered that these “disciples” soon sank to the bottom of the cup.  Yet when “faith” was used (soda instead of water) that the disciples were able to “float” in the water. This creative lesson offered students the chance to consider what faith means in their own lives while having fun with simple items such as raisins and soda.

Come and join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. as we venture into the stories of our Creator, of Jesus, and of the Spirit as shared in tales of old and discovered in our lives today.
