Festive Fall Sunday ~ September 9
We are going to start our fall off with a bang! We begin a new program year of Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. with an open house where students, parents, grandparents and the entire congregation is encouraged to come and meet some of the teachers, see the classrooms, find out about the upcoming fall schedule and stories/topics to be covered. There will be activities, games, crafts to enjoy.
From 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. everyone, and we do mean everyone, is invited to a pancake breakfast in our fellowship hall. Jesse and Melina Urbanowski, along with some others, will be making fluffy delicious pancakes that will be served with a variety of toppings and some sausage links. A freewill offering taken that morning will go to our camp scholarship fund. A balloon artist will be here during that time for all to enjoy her work.
Choir practice will begin at 9:15 a.m. that morning. All persons of the congregation are welcome to be a part of this group, under the direction of Andrew Buck and accompanied by Deb Strunk.
We will worship at 10:30 a.m. that will include the celebration of communion.
Following worship, our fellowship time will include a Kona Ice Truck, with its many flavors of ice, for all ages to enjoy. At the time of this writing, there are still a few surprises in the mix.
So make sure to mark your calendar because you will not want to miss this Festive Fall Sunday at Hope UCC! It will be an exciting time indeed!
