Cedar Rapids Pride 2021
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to follow CDC social distancing guidelines, Cedar Rapids Pride has developed a fun way to involve the community and have a safe experience by having a Poster Parade!! This year’s theme is “Color Our World with Pride.”
Here’s how it works; individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, anyone who wants to be in the parade will create a poster depicting what their physical parade entry would represent. It doesn’t need to be a picture of a parade float, but more of a representation of our theme as it applies to a group or organization that is making the poster, the message a physical float would send.
The completed entries will be displayed along a parade route in the Czech Village/New Bohemia district as part of CRPride 2021. A guide will be available so parade goers will be able to travel the route at their own pace, during Pride 2021 in June.
The CRPride Board is working to finalize other events for this year’s Pride season and at this time have not announced those events. The Pride Fest event scheduled for July 10 will not be held as previously announced.
