Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten period leading up to Easter. The ashes symbolize both death and repentance. During Lent, Christians are to show repentance for their sins.

We will gather together on Wednesday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. as we enter the Lenten season with the observance of Ash Wednesday.  This will be the Rev. Fred Darbonne’s first time preaching at Hope UCC.

This service will feature prayers, scriptures and songs that will allow us to reflect on our hopes for this Lenten season as we seek a time to be with God’s Stillspeaking Spirit in the midst of our everyday lives.
