With the steamy temperatures everyone is looking for ways to think cool. The Missions Committee has a way for all of us to feel cool and to help others. It is time for our annual Christmas in July helping needy families.
Each November HACAP assists low income families that can’t afford Christmas. Hope UCC has partnered with HACAP for many years to help bring the spirit of the holidays to those in need.
From now until August 2, a tree will be in the narthex. On it, there will be various donation envelopes. Each will have amounts for you to choose from ranging from $1 to $20. Simply taken an envelope, put the money in it, and drop the envelope in the offering plate.
In November, we will receive our families and take the money raised during this Christmas in July campaign to purchase their Christmas wishes. This is an opportunity for your whole family to share with others in need. For more information, please contact any member of the missions committee: Wyatt Dagit, Karla Grauberger, Mike and Tobey Slagenweit-Coffman and Deb Wooldridge.
