Advent in a Bag: Helping Children, Youth and Their Families Celebrate the Season

Since it is currently safer for our children and youth to not be in our Sunday School classrooms and thus learning about the stories associated with the Advent and Christmastide seasons, an Advent in a Bag is ready to be picked up at the church to help them and their families celebrate the seasons that are unfolding within the liturgical and calendar weeks ahead.

Filled with a variety of activities and informational sheets, Advent in a Bag will help families learn about the meaning of the Advent candles, make their own paper Advent wreath, along with an activity book featuring the characters from Shepherd on a Search, The Light Shines in the Darkness coloring book from the United Church of Christ Pension Boards, crafts, a sweet treat and so much more.

Advent in a Bag can be picked-up during regular office hours for Pastor Mary Beth (Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) or by calling the church office (393-2400) and making arrangements with Pastor Mary Beth.
