Mission Committee Offers a Challenge for January’s Project:

Blessing Bags for Olivet

In one of the coldest months of the year, we’ll have the opportunity to help a local organization with their vision of providing basic necessities to people in need.

During January, we’ll be collecting “Blessing Bags” to be given to Olivet Neighborhood Mission in Cedar Rapids. They have a variety of programs to help with food, clothing, coats, and other community needs. They’ve greatly appreciated our past donations that we put together during our Faith In Action Sundays.

If you’d like to participate, place 7-10 hygiene and other related items into gallon-size Ziploc bags. Look for a sled to drop the bags into from January 1-31. The Missions Team is hoping to collect 50 Blessing Bags for this project.
